They’re Hitched!
Joe & Kara
Joe & Kara were married in old Irish style at an afternoon wedding held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in North Portland. During the planning process we had fun finding inventive ways to link the many details of their wedding to their heritage and the history of not only Portland but also their relationship. The wedding attire for the groom and his men consisted of traditional Irish Kilts while the Bride chose to wear a customary halo of flowers. Following the ceremony, the couple chose to have their wedding portraits in one of Portland’s recognizable older parks, the Peninsula Park & Rose Garden. At the reception held at the Doubletree Hotel, guests found their places at tables named for the different Portland bridges. The brother of the Bride handcrafted each bridge drawing found at the dinning tables and the guests were delighted in the choice of the individual Stumptown coffee favors representing how the Groom brings coffee to his Bride every morning. One of the many highlights of the evening was the dance performance by the Molly Malone Irish Dancers that really got the party started!
Congratulations Joe & Kara, all my best.
